Gessh what a ride its been. We are now settled into our new home on Willow st in Downtown Halifax, NS, its lovely, Halifax is a truly lovely place, they are a very environmentally consciencous city and I love that. I can now recycle 95% of everything I use in my home.
Dave got a job no problem as suspected, he got several job offers actually
I am on the other hand am still chasing down my employer for a start date, they are taking there time on that front, so I am going to start looking into opportunities, I have an appointment with a head hunter tommorow am, better to have options and select the best one. After all the clock is ticking, I am pregnant
Yes 10 weeks pregnant actually and due in early December, so that is just over 6 months of work time before I pop out a littlun and take a years Mat leave, or most of a year anyhow,
Dave and I are ecstatic parents to be, it was a planned pregnancy, we decided last September we wanted to get pregnant this year so I stopped taking the pill, as per my earlier troublesome posts whilst comming off the pill. It took me 4 months to get a period back after stopping the pill and then it took us 3 months of unprotected sex to get pregnant, not bad huh? I really thought it would take long, since the average is 6 months of trying. We are damn good at baby making hahah. My hormones have wreaked havok on my skin, my poor skin, I havent had such acne since junior high, its very painful, I am hoping it will clear up with time, like in my second trimester, but with my luck I will have bad skin the whole way through and then some, and I cant take any oral treatments for acne cause they can harm the baby, topical treatments dont do much as it is an internal problem, even Homeopathy dosen’t seem to be helping the skin issues, luckily it helps with everything else in this case.
Well that’s all, I signed up for prenatal classes today, and I have to go to a walk in clinic today and get them to send a refferal for me to the Halifax IWK were I will assigned and Obstetrician. I also will be contacting a midwife once I get some income comming in, sadly, unlike Ontario, Midwives are not free under government healthcare here in Nova Scotia. More updates to come as I have to say.

Try to get enough sleep and drink lots of water. That should hopefully help with the skin issues.
I keep thinking it’s too bad you couldn’t have the trimestra rituals at the women’s group. You’d be one of the glowing mothers!
